Part-I Concept of strategic management in Audit - uniformity and Transparency for quality, productivity and competitiveness, The quality excellence model – ingredient model, System model, requirement model comprehensive business model, Cost of Quality ( failure, appraisal and preventive ), 14 pillar of strategic management – foundation of TQM, Application of TQM Tools in Audit - SIX SIGMA, Fish bone Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, Pareto Principle etc.

Part-II the purpose of a Quality Management System, the 8 principles of the management, inter-relationship of ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and ISO 19011, Interpretation of requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audit , Process Approach including the PDCA Cycle; ISO 9001 Standard Requirements;  Management System documentation requirements for audit;

Part-III ISO 19011 –Guidelines for management system audit : Objectivity of auditing / Audit Strategy ,First party, Second Party and Third Party , Formulation of Audit Criteria, Competence of auditors, Roles and Responsibilities of Auditors , Quality and Personal Attributes of Auditors ,Knowledge & Skills of Auditor , Document Review, the off-site audit, Process Identification, Application of audit techniques,  Phases of audit, Preparation of Audit, Design Audit Checklist, Audit Plan & Schedule , The way of communication during audit, Process based audit, Audit execution, Categorization of Findings (Non-compliance, Discrepancy, Deviation, Variation), Writing audit evidence against Non-compliance & Discrepancy, Writing Opportunities for improvements, Root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive action , Reduction plan of Non-compliance, and Writing final audit report.
